TESTIMONIALS:

What People Say About NTS Athletic Development:

During the winter of 2005-2006 I was looking for an exercise program to help me get in shape and lose weight.  I was having some neck and back discomfort from the amount of time I sit in front of a computer for my job.  Also having small grandchildren I wanted to be physically able to run and play with them for many years to come.  I had no experience with going to the “gym” and was a little self conscious about trying to figure out how to use the machines and what was a good workout for me.  I chose NTS for the individual attention that allowed me to progress at my own pace, building on what I accomplished, continual supervision that I was doing the exercises correctly, and changing the workout to my greatest benefit.  Six weeks into my work out schedule I realized that even on the days that I was most intently involved with work on my computer I never went home with neck or back discomfort. Things have just continually progressed from there. I feel great and have lost a lot of weight going down 4-5 clothes sizes in the past year.  Recently there has been much reported by medical research about the benefits of weight training/lifting for middle age women for prevention of osteoporosis, maintaining a healthy heart, improved balance to prevent falls, and weight management to name just a few.  From my experience, the medical research is right on and NTS is a great place to get the personal attention to attain your goals.

I sat down with Kevin and told him what I wanted to get out of an exercise program. He developed a program designed specifically to meet these goals. We worked on strength, balance and endurance. The results have been great. I’m hitting the ball farther than ever and am feeling stronger throughout an entire round of golf. Thanks Kevin!

Our kids have been with Kevin for over a year and we have seen great strides in their athletic abilities. Kevin does a great job in laying down the proper workout technique. The kids thoroughly enjoy their time with Kevin. We highly recommend his services.

Brian Martin – 1998, 2002, 2006 U.S. Olympian USA Luge

“I have trained with Kevin for years and his training program was integral in my preparation for the 2002 Olympics where I won the silver medal. I hope to better my results in Italy in 2006, but I know that I don't have to worry about being ready thanks to the training program Kevin has me on.”

Ashley Hayden - 2002, 2006 U.S. Olympian, USA Luge

“Kevin Ebel has designed top notch programs for me for the last five years and I have consistently seen his training give me excellent results. I know that Kevin will give athletes a true advantage over the competition!

"During my months at the Olympic Training Center, working under Kevin Ebel, I was able to learn an enormous amount of information regarding neurological training and sports performance. As a result of him educating me in this specific area, I have been able to apply these specific principles to increasing performance to baseball players. He truly has a great understanding and knowledge of how the nervous system effects specific sports performance."

Brendon Huttmann, CSCS
Cleveland Indians AA Strength Coach

"Kevin has experience working with athletes from a wide range of sports and a variety of levels (from novice to Olympic to Professional caliber). He tailors his approach to the athlete's specific needs and helps them to reach their fullest potential; his devotion to his athlete's development is unsurpassed.

Moreover, Kevin trains his athletes so that they completely understand the training process. After working with Kevin, his athletes are empowered to 'be there own coach'. They can analyze their own lifting techniques and comprehend the inner-workings of a well-designed resistance training program."

Barry Spiering, M.S., CSCS

Exercise Physiology Doctoral Student - UConn

“I learned more from Kevin in the four months I spent working with him than I have at any other point in my career. One of the things I respect most about Kevin is his genuine interest in teaching and educating the athletes he works with, not just coaching them. The results he gets from his athletes speak for themselves. He gets amazing results. There still isn’t a strength coach I’ve met in the country that is more knowledgeable or motivated than Kevin.”

Jason Dierking, M.S., CSCS, USAW

University of Louisville

“When Kevin works with athletes, it’s obvious that his primary goal is to ensure that each athlete performs to the best of their ability. Additionally, he successfully adapts his demeanor to each individual athlete he trains, personalizing not only their exercise regime, but also how he motivates them.”

Dan Judelson, M.A.

Former Exercise Physiologist – USOC

Assistant Professor, University of California, Fullerton

"I used to run distance races and marathons but several years ago I injured my heel.  I wanted to start running again, but every time I would get started my heel would become very tender.  I went to doctors and physical therapists but was becoming very discouraged that nothing was helping.  I originally came to Kevin to sign up my boys but I decided to try working with him as well and in six weeks I saw an incredible change.

By week five I was running with no pain.  Kevin showed me that if you exercise and weight train correctly, you will not suffer the soreness that often results from other programs.  He worked with me the whole time and tailored the program to meet my needs.  I highly recommend Kevin to anyone who wants to improve their own conditioning and overall health."

Soccer Parent and  Recreational Athlete

"I highly recommend Kevin Ebel to any parent who is looking to improve their child's physical fitness, agility, speed or endurance.  He worked with my two boys, ages 14 and 16, to improve their soccer skills.  Both came away from the program with a new sense of what it takes to play a sport well and avoid injuries.  They worked with weights to build their strength, ran drills to improve their speed and agility, and most importantly, gained confidence in themselves.

Kevin was very encouraging to the boys as well as provided them with a structured setting and workout.  My youngest boy is taking time off after six weeks of training to finish his soccer season but will return to the program after the season.  My oldest son still works with Kevin and has found a new interest in the sport of power lifting and is hoping to compete one day.

I can't say enough about Kevin and his programs.  If you have an athlete in your family, you need to look into this program.  There is nothing sadder than watching a child's sports career end at 15 because they were not physically prepared for the game."
